New York Jets' star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, did not hold back when responding to Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton's critical comments about Jets' offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. In a recent interview, Payton had called Hackett's 15-game stint as the Broncos' head coach "one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL."

Rodgers expressed his displeasure at Payton's remarks, stating, "It made me feel bad that someone who has accomplished a lot in the league is that insecure that they have to take another man down to set themselves up for some easy fall if it doesn't go well for that team this year." He further called Payton's comments "way out of line" and "inappropriate," urging the Broncos coach to "keep my coaches' names out of his mouth."

It is worth noting that Nathaniel Hackett was the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers from 2019 to 2021, during which time Rodgers was named NFL MVP twice. Their successful collaboration and strong bond have continued even after their time together in Green Bay.

Payton later issued an apology, referring to his comments as "a mistake." Jets coach Robert Saleh also came to Hackett's defense, stating, "If you ain't got no haters, you ain't popping." He brushed off Payton's remarks and expressed confidence in their team's abilities.

Rodgers, when speaking about his relationship with Hackett, praised him both on and off the field. He emphasized their strong connection and the positive impact Hackett had on his game. "He's arguably my favorite coach I've ever had in the NFL," Rodgers said, highlighting Hackett's approach to coaching, his caring nature, and leadership qualities.

As the controversy continues to unfold, it's evident that Hackett has garnered immense respect and support from players and coaches alike, proving his prowess as an exceptional coach and a valuable asset to the New York Jets.
